Wicker Furniture Blog

More and more evidence indicates people are using wicker for more than just outdoor furniture.

According to a story in a Utah paper, wicker furniture is showing distinct signs of spreading from the patio to every room in the house:

“I think wicker and rattan is mainstream. The beauty is, they can go in so many places — a master bedroom, a kitchen or a living room,” says Deborah Parks, who incorporated a wicker seating area into the keeping room she designed for the Decorators’ Show House in Indianapolis.

“It adds interest and texture to a room. You can pair wicker or rattan chairs with a traditional dining room table, and it just gives it a whole different look,” says Parks. She treasures wicker heirlooms from her childhood home.

I think people requiring a cost-effective way to achieve a classy yet comfortable living environment are simply turning to wicker furniture more and more.
